Independent Candidate · District 2

District 2
deserves a voice
without strings.

I've rooted my business in Boiling Springs and raised my family in District 2. I'm not a career politician and I don't answer to a party. Help me bring real transparency and fiscal accountability to Spartanburg County Council.

Josh Dodson and his family at New Groove Artisan Brewery

A neighbor, a business owner, a dad.

I've spent the last 17 years building a life in Boiling Springs and District 2. My family and I co-own New Groove Artisan Brewery, where we've seen firsthand what it means to invest in this community and watch it grow.

My daughters graduated from Boiling Springs High School. April, my partner, serves as president of the Boiling Springs Business Association. We're not outsiders looking in. This is home.

I'm running because District 2 deserves a council member who shows up without a party agenda, speaks plainly about the budget, and never votes on deals negotiated behind closed doors.

The Platform

What I'm fighting for in Boiling Springs and District 2

District 2 deserves a council member who shows up, speaks plainly, and never votes on deals negotiated in secret. These aren't talking points. They're the commitments I'll keep.

💰

Fiscal Restraint

Your tax dollars should be spent carefully, not pledged away to tax incentive deals without public scrutiny. I'll scrutinize every line of the county budget.

🔎

Full Transparency

No NDAs on public business. No secret votes on economic development deals. If it affects District 2 residents, they have a right to know about it before the vote.

🛣️

Infrastructure First

Boiling Springs is growing fast. Roads, drainage, and public services need to keep pace with growth, paid for responsibly, not with debt or gimmicks.

🤝

Independent Voice

I'm not a Democrat. I'm not a Republican. I'm your neighbor. I answer to District 2, not to a party, a donor class, or a political machine.

📣

Real Accountability

I'll hold town halls, publish my votes with explanations, and make it easy for any resident to reach me. Accountability isn't a buzzword — it's a practice.
